Nasa US na pala! Karen Jimeno quietly quits PMS post
Abogado Karen Jimeno is no longer in government, just months after she was appointed as undersecretary for disaster resiliency of the Presidential Management Staff (PMS).
Jimeno revealed on Twitter that she’s taking up her Master’s degree at the University of California in Berkeley. She said she resigned in July.
The abogado said one of her last tasks in the PMS was to work with other agencies in drafting the bill for the proposed new government agency in disaster risk reduction and management, which President Rodrigo Duterte mentioned in his State of the Nation Address last month.
Duterte appointed Jimeno to the PMS in May. She was previously with the Department of Public Works and Highways as Undersecretary for Legal Affairs and Priority Projects.
Ma’am FYI po i finished my task of working w/ other agencies in drafting the draft Disaster Bill w/c was presented to Cabinet & mentioned by PRRD in his SONA. I resigned in July & taking a Masters now in UC Berkeley. I havent received my salary as Usec for Disaster Res up to now.
