Hands on! Quimbo to the rescue during Typhoon Henry
Marikina lawmaker Miro Quimbo braved the rain brought by Typhoon Henry to check the situation in Bayabas, Nangka.
Quimbo wanted to make sure that the communities were safe when the water in Marikina river reached alarm levels.
Donned in raincoat, the abogado went out to personally see the status of evacuation.
“Bayabas, Nangka. The river dikes have been a blessing. If not for the construction of the river road dike, flooding would have already engulfed this entire area affecting thousands of residents. The river level has breached alarm levels but because of this massive construction, communities have so far been protected,” he said in a Facebook post.
