Gadon shrugs off disbarment case: ‘Obscure’ lawyer just wanna be famous
Impeachment complainant Atty. Larry Gadon on Thursday belittled the disbarment suit filed against him before the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
“Its a nuisance case filed by an unknown, obscure lawyer who wants to become famous,” Gadon said when sought for his comment.
The disbarment case stemmed from his alleged “disgraceful conduct” in the impeachment case against embattled Chief Justice on-leave Ma. Lourdes Sereno.
In a formal complaint, lawyer Wilfredo Garrido Jr., accused Gadon of dishonesty, arrogance and rudeness during the impeachment proceedings before the House justice committee.
The complainant charged Gadon of violating the lawyers’ Code of Professional Responsibility, particularly Canons 7, 8, 19 and Rules 7.03, 8.1 and 19.01 (A).
