Did Kerwin order drug sale? Raymond Fortun grills gov’t witness in Espinosa’s drug case
Marcelo Odorco, the government’s witness against self-confessed druglord Kerwin Espinosa, on Friday was grilled by defense lawyers during a hearing before the Manila regional trial court.
While being grilled by Atty. Raymond Fortun, Odorco divulged that it was not Espinosa who ordered him to sell shabu but a certain Jose Antipuesto.
However, he clarified that he heard Espinosa instructed Antipuesto to sell the drugs in a phone conversation.
“Antipuesto was ordered to sell the drugs by means of telephone,” Fortun asked Odorco to which he said “yes.”
“So you want this court to rely purely on your statement about phone conversation and instruction to sell?” asked Fortun.
Espinosa was being tried for drug trading and illegal possession of firearms and explosives.
