Bongbong pays P50K PET fine
Former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has already complied with the Presidential Electoral Tribunal order penalizing him and Vice President Leonor Robredo for violating the gag order it imposed last February in connection with his electoral protest.
In a compliance, Marcos manifested that he has already paid P50,000 fine in compliance with the June 26, 2018 resolution of the PET.
“Protestant Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. (protestant Marcos) through the undersigned counsels, unto this Honorable Tribunal (PET) , most respectfully manifests that he has paid the amount of Fifty Thousand Pesos (P50,000) in compliance with its Resolution dated 26 June 2018,” it stated.
The copy of the official receipt no. 0214433-SC-EP was also attached into the said pleading.
Both the Marcos and Robredo camps were ordered to pay a fine of P50,000 each.
This was for discussing the issues and merits of the case before the public and the media.
