Show cause order issued to Maria Isabel Lopez over her EDSA mischief
Actress Maria Isabel Lopez has been formally asked by the Land Transportation Office to explain in writing why her driver’s license should not be revoked over her unauthorized use of EDSA lanes reserved for delegates of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit.
Lopez was given three days that started on Monday to respond.
Likewise, transportation officials also directed her to attend a formal hearing on Thursday.
In a complaint to the LTO, the Metro Manila Development Authority sought the permanent revocation of Lopez’s driver’s license, and perpetual disqualification to apply for another one.
According to Department of Transportation, the following were the violations committed by Lopez:
Disregard of traffic signs, violation of the Anti Distracted Driving Act, and reckless driving.
