The second Sunday of the Bar Exams are currently underway but not all aspiring abogados and abogadas are present. After the Bar kick-off last week, the Supreme Court of the Philippines recorded a decreased number of Bar candidates.
#BAR2017 resumes on Sunday, Nov 12, with civil law (AM) and taxation (PM); of the 7,227 admitted to take the exam, 468 failed to show up last Sunday, leaving 6,759 remaining.

The SC announced that 468 Bar takers failed to show last Sunday. Only 6759 aspiring abogados will continue to take the Civil Law Exam and the Taxation Law Exam today. At the beginning of the Bar, a total of 7227 bar candidates were admitted.
The SC also made new adjustment as the second set of abogado exams falls on the same weekend with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit. Bar takers and their Bar Operations committees are advised to take necessary precautions for a smooth exam day. This is due to the reported road closure and traffic congestion since Friday night.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Arrange to leave for UST earlier than usual for 2nd Sunday of #BAR2017, November 12, because of road closures due to ASEAN summit activities.
