Manggagatong! Abogados want Trillanes charged for goading soldiers to kill Duterte
Charges of inciting to sedition is now being readied against opposition Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV for allegedly encouraging the military to kill President Duterte.
“Trillanes is inciting the military na patayin ang Presidente dahil katakot-takot ang kanyang kayamanan which was not proven,” former Negros Oriental Representative Jacinto Paras said in a forum in Quezon City said.
Paras disclosed that he and other lawyers are now in the process of building up a case against Trillanes.
“We have to look at the antecedent facts… Generally all of those five talk about overthrowing the government,” Paras said, referring to the five provisions of Article 139 of the Revised Penal Code.
Paras said a case against Trillanes would be definitely filed either this week or next week either before the Ombudsman or Department of Justice.
While Trillanes issued no direct order to kill Mr. Duterte, he said that with the mountain of evidence of the latter’s corrupt activities, M-60 machine guns must be use against the President.
“Kung makikita ito ng mga sundalo, M-60 ang gagamitin sa’yo kasi marami-rami ito. Mauubos yung magasin, kung P40 million yung hinahanap mo,” Trillanes had said.
