Kulong talaga! Law student shows why Aegis Juris is liable for Atio’s death
Some aspiring abogados and abogadas refuse to forget about the untimely hazing death of Horacio Castillo III. The suspected Aegis Juris fraternity is using his existing heart illness as defense from criminal liability.
Dear Aegis Jvris and Solano, may sinasabi yun #3 dito sa Crim. Effect daw ng intervening disease. Pakibasa ba lang tapos pakulong na kayo mga Kya.#JusticeForHoracio @YourLawyerSays @thecorpusjuris pic.twitter.com/3mq2pmkheE

This law student points out that the Criminal Law in the Philippines does not absolve them of liability. It specifically says that the aspiring abogado suspects are still liable for the death despite Atio’s existing heart condition.
Criminal Law said that the mortal wounds incurred by Atio during the hazing can be considered the primary reason for his death regardless if it is associated with his disease or not. The law student said that this provision belies the whole defensive attempt of the fraternity.
