Hu u? Sereno clueless over Gadon’s claim of personally knowing impeachment allegations: I’ve never met him
Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno has expressed puzzlement over abogado Larry Gadon’s claim that he has personal knowledge of the allegations he listed in the impeachment complaint against her.
In an interview with Karen Davila over “Headstart” Monday (November 20), Sereno said she has never met Gadon.
“I don’t know how he can execute a verified complaint and say that he knows as a matter of personal knowledge all the allegations that he has said against me… On many counts, thosse points are actually perjurious. I don’t know him at all,” she said.
Sereno said she does not know how Gadon was able to come up with the allegations he stated in the impeachment complaint which is now pending in the House of Representatives.
Gadon has accused Sereno of committing culpable violations of the Constitution and betrayal of public trust.
Among the allegations that the abogado stated in his impeachment complaint was the Chief Justice’s alleged failure to declare in her Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth since 2010 the P30 million she earned as a private lawyer in the arbitration case involving the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.
Sereno was appointed by former President Benigno Aquino II to the Supreme Court in 2010.
