Chair Andy Bautista reiterated that, even before the overturned impeachment, he submitted his resignation to President Rodrigo Duterte already. The abogado also expressed sadness over the unnecessary turn of events despite his resignation.
Chair Andy Bautista assured that he will “abide by the constitution and the relevant rules regarding the impeachment process”. Previously, the abogado’s impeachment complaint was dismissed twice in the House Committee on Justice prior to the latest decision of the House of Representatives.
Chair Bautista found himself in a lot of negative publicity lately after his estranged wife, Tish Bautista, came out with incriminating and scandalous allegations. Through it all and up to his resignation, the abogado faced the accusation head on but chose to prioritize the welfare of his family.
