Kanya-kanyang manok ba? Koko, Bebot sing different tunes on PDP-Laban’s senatorial slate
Partymates Senator Koko Pimentel and House Speaker Bebot Alvarez have come up with “separate” lists for the 2019 senatorial elections.
Alvarez’s list includes Asst. Secretary Mocha Uson, who also is also a pro-Duterte blogger, and presidential spokesman Harry Roque, and three House members – Albee Benitez, Geraldine Roman, and Karlo Nograles. Curiously, re-electionist Pimentel is not on Alvarez’s list.
Pimentel said Alvarez’s list was a good one. “Once I join them in that list it becomes a mix of ‘old and new faces,'” he said.
“In the meantime let us consider the names announced by the Speaker as his nominees,” Pimentel said.
He said the PDP-Laban senatorial line-up will be, so far, composed of Pimentel himself, House Majority Leader Rodolfo Farinas, and Representatives Benitez and Nograles and former Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Francis Tolentino.
“We will announce final slate in due time: one or two months before deadline for filing CoC (certificate of candidacy). In the meantime all lists are preliminary,” he added.
